INVOLVEMENT/ROLES: Online Event Experience & Marketing Director
For the hybrid event Level Up Your Event Game, Lillian played a pivotal role in overseeing all logistical and operational elements, ensuring the seamless execution of both the online and in-person components. Working closely with the In-Person Experience Director, Lillian helped ensure that both aspects of the event were consistent and cohesive while maintaining their unique qualities. Her responsibilities spanned from the planning phase to on-site coordination and technical troubleshooting, ensuring that every detail was carefully managed.
In addition to her logistical and operational duties, Lillian also took charge of content production, marketing, and graphics. She served as the primary point of contact for these areas, ensuring that the messaging and visuals aligned with the event's goals. Level Up Your Event Game was born out of Lillian's admiration for the gaming industry and her desire to bring the first hybrid event to the Midwest. As the event took place at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, with many events pivoting to live-stream formats, Lillian saw an opportunity to create a hybrid experience that blended the best of both worlds. The name of the event, which was meant to resonate with the gaming community, encouraged event professionals to "Level Up" in their careers.
The event was a huge success, with participation from 16 states and 6 countries, proving the value of hybrid formats and the growing demand for innovative event experiences during a time of rapid change.
